The Cozy Home is an eclectic multi-location business that sells new and gently used furniture and home decor; keeping useful items out of landfills, and working with motivated, inventive, and resourceful staff.

We’re currently hiring for a sales associate/visual merchandiser. This is a physical position and requires the ability to move furniture, using rolling carts when possible. Knowledge of furniture and decor materials (woods, fabrics, glass, ceramic) and modern + historic styles is a plus, but training will be provided.

Weekdays and Saturday hours available totaling 20 hrs/wk, $14-$17/hr DOE primarily at our East location but possible fill in at both locations

Responsibilities

• Move furniture within the store and to customer vehicles
• Arrange visually pleasing displays
• Assist customers finding specific styles or sizes of furnishings
• Offer customers design opinions when requested
• Responses to customers via email, Facebook, Instagram, and phone calls
• Price and inventory merchandise
• Clean store and inventory

Skills

• Strong customer service skills
• Strong sales skills
• Visual merchandising skills
• An eye for design
• Knowledge of furniture styles a plus
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. or more
• Reliable transportation
